The hotel enjoys an idyllic location on the north-east coast of Mauritius. It is 15 minutes from the airport by helicopter and 35 km from the capital Port Louis. It is situated on 60 hectares of completely unspoilt private land, sheltered from the prevailing winds and ensuring maximum privacy for its guests.||The beach hotel is named after Van Nassau, Stadtholder (Governor) of Holland and pioneer of the spice trade in the Indian Ocean and to whom the hotel pays tribute. The resort consists of a total of 89 rooms. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Facilities include a hotel safe, currency exchange, hairdressing salon, children's playground, kids' club, bar and restaurant. Further facilities include conference facilities, Internet access, room and laundry services, car park and bicycle hire.||The junior suites have thatched roofs and are grouped in units of 8. The majority (68) are located on the ground or first floor. A further 8 suites are on stilts above a natural fish reserve. Each comes with bedroom with double bed, indoor sitting area and a terrace or balcony. Each has an en suite bathroom with double vanity mirrors, shower, bath and separate WC.
