The pilots' union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) has called on pilots of the Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Lufthansa Cityline, Lufthansa Cargo) to go on strike from Monday until Friday, April 13–17, 2026. Further information can be found in the Lufthansa News.

 

Lufthansa daughter Eurowings (Eurowings Germany) is called to go on strike on April 13 and April 16, 2026. Further information can be found in the Eurowings News.

 

Numerous flight cancellations and delays are expected.

The UfO union has called on Lufthansa's cabin crew to go on strike on Friday, April 10, 2026. The strike affects Lufthansa and Lufthansa CityLine operations. Numerous flight cancellations and delays are expected.

Due to an air traffic controller strike in Italy on Friday, April 10, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. several flights may occasionally be disrupted.

Due to the current situation in the Middle East, several airlines are suspending their flights to the region until further notice. 

 

Therefore, the airlines of the Lufthansa Group will

 

suspend flights to and from

 

• Dubai (United Arab Emirates)

and Tel Aviv (Israel) until May 31 inclusive

 

suspend flights to and from

 

• Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates),

• Dammam and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia),

• Beirut (Lebanon),

• Amman (Jordan),

• Erbil (Iraq),

• Muscat (Oman),

•  and Tehran (Iran) until October 24 inclusive.

 

In addition, Eurowings is canceling all flights to and from

 

• Tel Aviv, Beirut, and Erbil until April 30

• Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Amman until October 24.

 

Eurowings Holidays bookings to Dubai and Abu Dhabi with arrivals up to and including June 30 will be proactively and free of charge cancelled by Eurowings Holidays. Affected guests will receive a refund of the travel price as quickly as possible.

Before departure to your travel destination

You have not yet started your trip? If your flight has been cancelled due to a flight restriction and you have not received the new alternative by email, please check your flight under “Manage booking” / “View flight” on the airline’s website. There you can see whether your flight has already been rebooked.

• Your flight has not yet been rebooked?

If your flight has not yet been rebooked, please contact the airline directly to arrange a rebooking.

• You do not agree with the alternative flight?

If you are not satisfied with the alternative flight offered, please contact us directly by email or phone to request another option.

• Your travel period changes due to the flight change?

If your length of stay changes due to the flight restriction, please contact us by email so that we can inform the hotel.

 

Before return travel

Are you already at your destination and planning to start your return journey? If your return flight has been cancelled due to a flight restriction and you have not received the new alternative by email, please check your flight under “Manage booking” / “View flight” on the airline’s website.

• Your flight has not yet been rebooked?

If your flight has not yet been rebooked, please contact the airline directly to arrange a rebooking.

• You do not agree with the alternative flight?

If you are not satisfied with the alternative flight offered, please contact us directly by email or phone to request another option.

• Your return flight is postponed by one day?

If your return flight takes place one day later, please contact us directly by email or phone so that we can arrange the additional night.

• Your return flight takes place one day earlier?

If your return flight takes place one day earlier, please contact us by email or phone so that we can inform your hotel and automatically refund the unused night to the original method of payment in the coming days.
