Radisson Blu Hotel, Hamburg

The location of this international hotel could hardly be more perfect: next to the Planten un Blomen botanical gardens and just a short walk from the congress centre, casino, opera and cinema as well as the elegant shopping arcades at the Jungfernstieg. The neighbouring Dammtor station offers the easiest means of public transport access. Since the middle of December 2008, there has been a direct suburban line S-Bahn connection to the airport 12 km away. The hotel also has 1,000 paid parking spaces in its underground garage.

The Radisson Blu Hotel Hamburg has a total of 556 rooms and suites on 27 floors. The fully air-conditioned building has two restaurants: Trader Vic's for French-Polynesian cuisine and Filini for authentic Italian dining. There is also a lobby bar, 12 conference rooms and exclusive event location on the 26th/27th floors. The reception is staffed 24 hours a day. Further services include room service and laundry, as well as free wi-fi throughout the hotel.

There are three different styles to the modern guest rooms: natural with light wood and soft cream accents, urban with minimal, metropolitan design, and New York Mansion with stylish, upper class lounge feel. All rooms have bathroom/WC or shower/WC with hairdryer, direct-dial telephone, TV, pay TV, radio, minibar, individually adjustable heating and air conditioning, as well as a desk.

The French-Polynesian specialities and exotic cocktails at Trader Vic's are the ticket to a culinary voyage. An authentic Italian experience is promised by the Filini: the service, decor and ambiance at the Filini combine in perfect harmony with the simple yet exquisite dishes on offer.

The perfect way to unwind after a tiring day is in the sauna or steam room, while the solarium, as well as massage or beauty treatments, are further options.

Apart from a run in the adjacent park or along the Alster, guests can also make use of the wide range of modern fitness facilities in the hotel.

Travel cost (netto) = tax to be paid to the hotel: 10 euros = city tax EUR 0, 25 euros = city tax EUR 0,50, 50 euros = city tax 1 euro, 100 euros = city tax 2 euro, 150 euros = city tax 3 euros, 200 euros = city tax 4 euros, for every further EUR 50 = EUR 1 city tax is added.

For scheduled arrivals in the destination area from 04:00 a.m., the hotel room is only available on the day of arrival from the official check-in time of the respective hotel. The official check-out time of the hotel on the day of departure must also be observed. This includes return flights until 3.00 a.m. on the following day.
