The hotel Medplaya Calypso is located approx. 500 m from the Playa Capellans, a sandy beach. At the beach, there are sun loungers and sun umbrellas for a fee available. The tourist centre is only about 100 m away. The town Cambrils is around 10 km away (Tarragona around 10 km, Reus around 12 km). The nearest shopping facilities are located approx. 12 km from the hotel, a supermarket can be reached after around 50 m. It is only 100 m from the hotel to the nearest bars and restaurants. Recently renovated in 2020, the 5-storey beach hotel consists of a main building and an adjoining building, and has 521 rooms in total. It is equipped with a 24h reception (check-in from 13:30, check-out until 10:30), a lobby with bar, 2 lifts, an air conditioning, a kiosk, various other shops, discotheque as well as a money changing facility. For the meals, there are two restaurants (air-conditioned). In a total 3 bars, you can relax in good company. WiFi is available for free. For guests with physical disabilities the hotel has a wheelchair accessible lift and a number of wheelchair accessible bathrooms. Room cleaning is free of charge.

Early check-in or late check-out can be booked via our service team, subject to availability and for an additional charge.

A tourist tax is levied in Catalonia. Payment is made directly on site in cash. The amount of the tax depends on the category of accommodation. Young people up to and including the age of 16 are excluded from the tax.
